Description

 

Adam Blanshay Productions is seeking an in-house General Manager/Associate Producer to join the team. The successful applicant will be the GM of the company (ABP) and GM of ABP’s in-house productions including any co-productions that ABP leads. They should have a prolific understanding of commercial theatre practices, drafting and negotiating budgets, contracts and agreements, UK and US Equity, TTR, touring logistics, financial administration, investor reporting, and investment/co-production management. We are looking for someone with a strong maths/quant and excellent Excel background who loves analysing data, formulas, and forecasting figures. The ideal candidate will be someone who is not fazed by the pressures of raising large sums of money and capitalising on a show, in the UK, and on Broadway.

The General Manager/Associate Producer is a key member of the ABP team working closely with the Producer whilst also managing the Production Coordinator and Intern. We are looking for someone who can provide and maintain the right industry practices, at a high standard, enabling our theatre projects to progress accordingly, and who someone is interested in the business development and the growth of Adam Blanshay Productions as a whole.

General day-to-day management of productions:

  • Logistics planning & management

first port of call to:

  • Production Manager

  • Company Stage Manager

  • Venue Management

Production Budgeting

  • Drafting

  • Budget management

  • o Reviewing

​​

Sales & Marketing

  • o Liaising with Marketing company to devise best strategy alongside producers

  • o Sales Analysis

  • o Sales Management, with Box Office. Knowledge of effective dynamic pricing

​​

Investors and Investment & Co-production Management

  • o Advise Producers on financial elements of investment and Co-production opportunities

  • o Creation of recoupment schedules and investment packs

  • o Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating co-production and investor contracts

  • o Managing Investment Database, in liaison with the producer and production assistant

​

Investors Relations

  • Advise potential investors on financial elements of opportunities

  • Advise of recoupment schedules

  • Investor financial reporting

  • General Investor relations (financial)

SPV’s

  • Finance

In liaison with the company bookkeeper and Producer:

  • Day-to-day financial management of SPV’s, including invoice and bill management.

  • Royalty Calculations and payments

  • Payroll Management and payments

 

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years Producing/General Management experience in the commercial theatre industry (we are not looking for transferable skills from other industries, ideally you will have worked previously as a GM or Associate GM within the commercial theatrical world)

  • Computer Literate - Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook/Mail, etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail (written and verbal) and excellent mathematical knowledge.

Desirable​

  • Spoken/Written French language skills.
