Adam Blanshay Productions is seeking a full-time General Manager. The General Manager is a key member of the Adam Blanshay Productions staff. The successful applicant will be in large part responsible for managing project operations and processes. They should have a good knowledge of drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements, general day to day management of productions, overseeing logistic and financials, production budgeting, investors reporting and investment & co-production management and financial management. The ideal candidate must have good experience in this line of work as we are looking for someone you can jump straight into the role.


The General Manager will also be someone who can provide and maintain the right systems and industry practices, at a high standard, to enable our theatre projects to progress accordingly as well as provide ongoing, proficient administrative support, working closely with the ABP’s Producer and Associate Producer. 


Adam Blanshay Productions is a growing commercial theatrical production company with London and New York offices, managed by Producer Adam Blanshay. Adam has been involved in over sixty productions to date, and is the recipient of a Helpmann Award, six Tony Awards and eight Olivier Awards.


The mission of ABP is to produce and collaborate on high quality commercial content in the world’s leading theatrical markets. We hope to develop exciting commercial projects abroad and introduce them to the UK’s West-End and Regional market, and vice versa.

  • Contract/Agreement drafting, reviewing and negotiation

    • Creative

    • Investment and Investor

  • General day to day management of productions:

    • Logistics planning & management

  • First port of call to:

    • Production Manager

    • Company Stage Manager

    • Venue Management

  • Production Budgeting

    • Drafting

    • Budget management

    • Reviewing

  • Sales & Marketing

    • Liaising with Marketing company to devise best strategy alongside producers

    • Sales Analysis

    • Sales Management, with Box Office. Knowledge of effective dynamic pricing


Investors and Investment & Co-production Management


  • Investments & Co-productions

    • Advise Producers on financial elements of investment and Co-production opportunities

    • Creation of recoupment schedules and investment packs

    • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating co-production and investor contracts

    • Managing Investment Database, in liaison with the producer and production assistant



  • In liaison with the company bookkeeper and Producer:

    • Day to day financial management of SPV’s, including invoice and bill management.

    • Royalty Calculations and payments

    • Payroll Assistance and payments


  • Minimum 2 years experience as a General Management in the theatre and arts sector

  • Computer Literate - Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook/Mail, etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail (written and verbal)
