Description:

 

Adam Blanshay Productions is seeking a part-time Junior Bookkeeper. The successful applicant will assist in managing the financial records and transactions of our expanding theatre production company. The ideal candidate will have experience of bookkeeping/accountancy work specifically on Xero and with American Companies.

Adam Blanshay Productions is a London based commercial theatrical production company with productions across London, the UK, Broadway and the US and Australia. Managed by Producer Adam Blanshay, Adam has been involved in over seventy productions to date, and is the recipient of a Helpmann Award, eight Tony Awards and seven Olivier Awards.

The mission of ABP is to produce and collaborate on high quality commercial content in the world’s leading theatrical markets. Specification:

  • Assist with accounts and financial reconciliation, reconciliation of debtor and creditor accounts.

  • Working closely with the Producer to update investor / show & SPV accounts / recharge accounts etc.

  • Processing invoices, bill payments (small number).

  • Bank payments and international transfers.

  • Company secretarial work (small amount).

  • Preparing reports and projected income reports as needed for management meetings 

  • Entering transactions in Xero.

  • Advising Producer of VAT liabilities and deadlines for payment.

  • Assisting Producer with weekly Payroll on in-house production.

 

 

Other Duties:

  • Assisting preparation of end of year accounts.

  • Assisting on Ad Hoc assignments.

Essential

  • Experience working in accounting/bookkeeping practice.

  • Experience working with American companies.

  • Detail-driven and hardworking with a positive attitude.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. This will be essential as we are a cloud-based company.

  • Computer Literate - Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook/Mail, etc)

  • Strong knowledge of Accountancy software (Xero is what we use, knowledge would be helpful but not essential as it is user friendly).
